I was trying to run away from your eyes,
And, on the other side of the planet,
I would see, just as here, the sun and the skies,
Kissing the Earth with the cheerful paints.
I would share the days, the moments of peace,
Quiet and dull, as a night in my bedroom,
With a prayer to Gods of sending the dreams,
Sweetened by... Yes, I would never forget you...
But I ran from the plane, like a life from the death.
I was pushing the people, amazed with the sight...
And I'm back... in the city, that blindly has
On its streets little traces of crying delight,
Where, walking, I'll hope that I'd step in your steps,
And the scent of your heart would fill mine from inside.
